For the African American community, Ebony has been a breath of fresh air, speaking on issues and events from the Black perspective, celebrating Black standards of beauty and elevating heroes of Black America--athletes, entertainers, activists, elected officials, or some combination thereof. Ebony: Covering Black America, by Lavaille Lavette, is a celebration of the treasure trove of the magazine's rich history, glamorous covers, groundbreaking cultural impact, and authentic coverage of Black American life from the magazine's inception to the present. Ebony was Black America's social media long before the birth of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, says Lavette.
Curated by Lavette, this all-out feast of a book is packed with exclusive contributions by a host of celebrities, influencers, and cultural icons. Lavette has chosen select articles, features, and reportage of note, including Martin Luther King Jr.'s advice column, and Ebony Fashion Fair photo shoots, divided into categories found within the magazine, including Civil Rights & Social Justice, Love & Family, Ebony Men, Ebony Women, and Ebony Music.

We do not ship to P.O. Box addresses, and splitting a single order and shipping to multiple addresses is not an option at this time (though you can simply create a unique order for each delivery address). Additionally, all shipping charges outlined below apply to standard items and merchandise as determined by Cowboys and Astronauts. Overweight items, oversized items, and/or items that require special packaging or handling will be priced separately and communicated to the customer before shipment.

- Expedited Shipping rates are available during checkout and reflect options available at delivery address.
- Cowboys and Astronauts currently does not ship outside the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
When applicable, shipping thresholds apply to merchandise only. Free shipping promotions occur and change on occasion and do not apply to end of season, closeout, and sidewalk sale events and will be reflected in available shipping options at checkout. Taxes and additional shipping and handling (if applicable) and the purchase of gift certificates and gift cards do not count toward the qualifying amount. The total order amount after any discounts are applied must be more than the threshold to qualify. Not valid for cash. Cowboys and Astronauts accepts returns on eligible merchandise* assuming product is unopened, unused, and returned with original packaging and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase date and will be processed as follows:
A full refund matching the original purchase price will be issued within 15 days of purchase
or
A store credit will be issued matching the original purchase price within 30 days of purchase.
Any return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser and, for all items returned, a tracked shipping service must be used to verify delivery.
*All end of season, closeout, or marked down items, whether purchased online or in store, are ineligible for return or exchange and are final sale.
*Additionally, underwear, swimwear, sunglasses, and sexual wellness products are never eligible for returns or exchange.
A seasonal return variance applies to all purchases made between November 24-December 24, 2023. In this case, a full refund matching the original purchase price will be issued within 15 days of purchase, or a store credit will be issued matching the original purchase price if the return merchandise is physically received in our store on or before January 31, 2024.
