What a ride it has been and continues to be. But, little by little, day by day, however brief and elusive, that most wonderful of feelings is returning...hope.
As the sun graces us more and more, we know that there is still work to do and a long road ahead. But, we also know there is opportunity for renewal and reinvention that is only possible in the spring. It's not about getting back to normal. It's about getting to next. It's about getting back to that place where all things are new...and all things are possible.
How did this trying time in our history change us? And how do we use it to rethink the importance of community? To reinvent our relationship to the world around us? To rediscover adventure, inside and out? And, to reimagine what our lives can and should be?
Over here at Cowboys and Astronauts, one of our muses is the straight-to-the-heart poet Mary Oliver. And, she shared some words with the world that, we think, really bring it all home...
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
In our humble little shop we've been working to survive, working to be present, and working to keep our chins up. For us, the release of our first mini-capsule of spring apparel is not just about some new clothes on a shelf. It's about pride and hard work and getting the wonderful chance to connect with all of you again. Mostly, it's about looking forward. And, damn, that sure feels good.
